Description
The IT Support Specialist II plays a key role in providing advanced technical support to end-users and ensures the smooth operation of the organization's IT infrastructure. Additionally, this job requires an aptitude to manage IT projects, and provide mentorship to junior team members. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle a variety of IT-related tasks while maintaining excellent customer service in a high demand environment. Personal transportation between 2 school campuses is required along with after-hours work to support evening school events and the completion of system maintenance and project implementations.
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and root case analysis for varying levels of IT incidents.
• Provide one-on-one end-user problem resolution remotely and in-person for 2 school campuses.
• Responsible for the configuration and installation of classroom technology.
• Complete end user move/add/change requests and manages user accounts in a variety of systems including, but not limited to, Active Directory, Exchange Online, Office 365, etc.
• Coordinate timely repair of classroom technology equipment covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements.
• Perform minor hardware repair for computer and mobile device equipment and peripherals that are not covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements.
• Assist in the installation of local area network cabling systems and equipment such as network interface cards, hubs, and switches.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members and work alongside the network administrator to complete escalated support and network infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with the Educational Technology team to implement, maintain, and support a variety of educational applications.
• Maintain technology inventory and assist in the management of warranties.
• Create technical documentation and training materials for staff and students.
• Manage assigned service requests in an efficient manner and escalate issues for timely resolution when needed; ensure proper communication is generated for all open and closed items.
• Conduct scheduled procedures and system maintenance to ensure the network and other systems are functioning properly.
• Ability to run, test and troubleshoot cabling.
• Other related job duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in a technical support role; 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Windows and iOS operating systems.
• Experience with server administration and network configurations.
• Experience with Windows Server Update Services and Mobile Device Management is preferred.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security , Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) are preferred.
• Project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate IT projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
